The Elk Varsity Gymnastics team soared to victory at the District Championship held on Saturday, securing their place at the OHSAA State Meet for the second consecutive year. The Lady Elks showcased their talent and dedication, earning not only team success but also individual accolades. This is the second consecutive District Title for the Lady Elks.
With determination and skill, the Lady Elks clinched the District Championship, displaying exceptional routines and teamwork. Their hard work throughout the season paid off as they punched their ticket to the State Meet, a testament to their commitment and perseverance.
In addition to the team's triumph, four individual Lady Elks shone brightly as they earned spots at the State Meet as qualifiers. Paige Rose demonstrated her prowess on vault, securing a commendable 6th place. Sarah Sanders showcased her talent on bars, also claiming 6th place, while Kaila Weller impressed with a 4th place finish on bars. Ellie Powderly displayed grace and skill on beam, earning a noteworthy 5th place.
These talented athletes will represent Centerville High School individually in their respective events at the upcoming State Meet. Their dedication to their craft and their team has earned them recognition and admiration from their peers and coaches.
