The varsity boys soccer team hosted undefeated Springboro Tuesday night in a jammed packed and electric Alumni Stadium. The varsity team may have played their most dominant game of the year as the boys were locked in all night and completely controlled every aspect of this game in route to a 2-1 victory. The score does not indicate how this game went as Boro had very few shots on goal and the Elks had possession of the ball the majority of the game. The Elks committed a foul just outside of the box with under 2:00 to play and a Springboro player hit an incredible shot to get Boro their only goal of the game.

The Elks were able to score at the 22 minute of the 1st half as Eddie Kuper banged in a goal for a 1-0 lead that the Elks took to halftime. In the 2nd half Alex Bucher hit a missile into the net with 14:48 left to go in the game to give the Elks a 2-0 lead. Boro then got their only goal off of their only true shot on goal off of that late free kick. The Elks defense was just stifling all night and their ball possession was a thing of beauty. The boys simply played brilliantly. The win clinches the GWOC title for the Elks! The team is now 12-1 overall and 6-0 in the GWOC.

JVA beat Boro 4-1 on Tuesday night.
