The third quarter saw the overall intensity pick up as both teams dug in for the finish. The Elks led 33-30 heading into the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter looked like a Championship game with each team making huge plays to stay in the game. Collin O'Connor hit a free throw with :12 seconds left to put the Elks up 44-42 buy the Tigers were able to score at the rim as time was running out to put the game into overtime.
Collin O'Connor his a big 3 pointer with 4.6 seconds left in the first OT to put the Elks up 50-49 but the Elks were called for a foul away from the ball with 1.4 seconds left and luckily the Tigers only made 1 of those free throws for a 50-50 tie and a second overtime period of play needed to decide this game.
Gabe Cupps scored off of the tip and then added 2 free throws to put the Elks up 54-50. Kyle Kenny made some huge plays in 2OT including free throws to clinch it and the Elks won the game 60-54.
Dulguun Gankhuyag had 14 points, Gabe Cupps 12 points and Kyle Kenny 11 points to lead the Elks.
Elks are now 4-1 on the season and will play next at Fairmont on Tuesday with 9th playing at 5:00, JV at 6:15 and Varsity at 7:30 pm. Tickets are only available online at
