In a thrilling display of skill and teamwork, the Centerville Boys Varsity Soccer Team secured a resounding victory against Anderson on Tuesday night, bringing delight to their fans and showcasing their determination to dominate the season. The match took place at Centerville's own Alumni Stadium, thanks to the sportsmanship of Miamisburg, who graciously rescheduled their league match to accommodate the Elks' home game against the Raptors.

The game kicked off with a bang just four minutes in when Alex Bucher delivered a pinpoint pass to Landon Miller, who skillfully slotted the ball into the net with his right foot. This early goal gave the Elks a 1-0 lead, setting the tone for an exciting night of soccer.

The first half remained intensely competitive, with both teams vying for control. While the Elks held a slight edge in shots on goal, they went into the halftime break still leading 1-0. It was evident that the Raptors were putting up a strong fight, but the Elks' depth and strategy would prove decisive in the end.

As the second half unfolded, the Centerville Elks continued to press their advantage. At the 32:44 mark, Peter Evans extended their lead to 2-0 with a well-executed goal. The Raptors' defense struggled to contain the Elks' relentless attacks, and it wasn't long before Landon Miller netted his second goal of the match at the 23:30 mark, taking the score to 3-0.

The Centerville Boys Varsity Soccer Team showed no signs of letting up, and to put the finishing touches on a superb performance, Maddox Rose found the back of the net with just over ten minutes left in the game, making it 4-0 in favor of the Elks.

The Elks' defense was rock-solid throughout the match, with Luke Shrivers recording another shutout. Drew Gaydosh and Josh Cline were instrumental in maintaining control of the backline, leaving the Raptors with few opportunities to break through.

With this impressive victory, the Centerville Boys Varsity Soccer Team continues their outstanding run this season, boasting an impressive record of 5-0-2. Their depth, skill, and determination are undeniable, and they are emerging as a team with a lot of potential.

The JVA team also had a stellar evening, defeating Anderson with an impressive score of 9-1, further exemplifying the strength and depth of the soccer program at Centerville High School.

The Elks are now gearing up for their next challenge, taking to the Alumni Stadium once again tonight for Staff Appreciation Night. The JVA game will commence at 5:30 pm, followed by the Varsity match at approximately 7:15 pm. Tickets are only available online at
