Girls Lacrosse Just Keeps Battling

The Girls Varsity Lacrosse team is proving their mettle this season, facing challenges head-on and maintaining a strong presence on the field. With a current record of 8-7, the Lady Elks are showcasing their determination and skill.

In recent games, the team demonstrated their prowess with a thrilling victory over Gahanna Lincoln, securing a close 20-18 win. They then faced Lebanon in a hard-fought match, ultimately falling short with a score of 14-11. However, the Lady Elks bounced back swiftly, dominating Miamisburg with a decisive 16-6 triumph.

During the game against Miamisburg, several players stood out for their exceptional performances. Lucia Christafano led the charge with an impressive 4 goals and 1 assist, while Hannah Eggert added 3 goals to the scoreboard. Elise Lenos showcased her all-around skills with 3 goals and an outstanding 5 assists, contributing significantly to the team's success. Kara Bentley also shined with her goalkeeping prowess, making 7 crucial saves to secure the victory.

On the JV side, the team faced tough competition, falling to Gahanna 5-2, Lebanon 6-4, and Springboro 13-3. Despite these challenges, the JV players displayed resilience and a commitment to improvement.

Looking ahead, the Lady Elks are gearing up for another exciting matchup on Thursday, May 2nd, as they take on Middletown Fenwick. The JV game kicks off at 5:30 pm, followed by the Varsity game at 7:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased online at Fenwick's ticketing website at
